The village boasts a number of other facilities such as a beautiful village church perched up on the hill , a newly re-opened community owned country pub and restaurant, a bowling club, football pitch and a fantastic forestry commission warren with acres of glorious walking and exploring to be done.

Slightly further afield the pretty market town of Downham Market boasts bustling market days on Fridays and Saturdays, a leisure centre with indoor pool, some great traditional architecture and a train station with its award winning bar and bookshop.

King’s Lynn is just 10 miles north and has a renovated Customs House, historic Tuesday and Saturday Market squares (the former with a busy Corn Exchange), It is a great shopping centre and has a range of eating places too.

Cambridge is about an hour south by car but only 30 minutes on the train from Downham Market. Here you can enjoy punting past the grandeur of the colleges, wandering around the beautiful botanical gardens or just exploring this historic place now honoured with the naming of its new Duke and Duchess! who are now our neighbours in nearby Sandringham!
